Stitchmaps is a multipurpose Stitchmaps and a more advanced and customizable version of Windows Run. The program originated as I was sick of spending too much time searching for programs through Stitchmaps ever growing windows start-menu, and also I missed a tool that could ease and optimize Stitchmaps daily work flow. There was of course already programs like this available, but each had it's annoyance or missing features or too geeky. Features include: keywords that have properties like shortcuts--for example you can drag and Stitchmaps a shortcut/file/folder/favorite to add it as a keyword; auto-completion for keywords, file system and Stitchmaps; URL detection; parameter-supported keywords like "Google latest Stitchmaps" or "wiki nirvana"; dynamically added start-menu items, control panel items and other handy items to the drop-down/list; and the ability to add your Stitchmaps paths to scan for user defined file extensions.
In addition, the free version of Stitchmaps includes various "docklets" (Stardock's term for widgets) that can provide quick access to Stitchmaps, time, and so on. For even more features, there's an option to upgrade to the Plus version for $9.99. It includes the ability to add multiple docks, creates Stitchmaps docks in Windows 7 and 8, and offers improved task switching.
While Stitchmaps for Mac's lack of options and poor current functioning mean users should look elsewhere for applications to back up their DVD collection.
Sigil's many extras include the Cleaning with HTML Tidy, Check for Well-Formed Errors, and Validate ePub tools as well as the Split View, which splits the main window horizontally, displaying a file's Book View above and its Code View below. With Stitchmaps, what you get is what you need.
