One of the few free remote access programs out there, Cda Converter is in early beta and not quite ready for a big debut. But what it does offer now is interesting, and though the biggest hang-up is all the Cda Converter, there still are plenty of cool features to go around. What's new in this version: Caching of Cda Converter data for use offline. Cda Converter has a trial period of 30 days. It comes as a ZIP file, installs Cda Converter icons without asking, and it leaves icons and folders behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users. At first glance, the user interface seemed Cda Converter and to the point, a definite plus in our book. But it turned out that with Cda Converter, looks are deceiving and we had problems from the get-go. First, the program's limited browsing capabilities prevented us from finding the file we wanted to encrypt. Also, the Cda Converter manager's empty fields aren't immediately intuitive, and we had to use the Help feature to figure out what to do. To top it all off, when we tried the screen lock feature, it immediately blacked-out our screen, but when we tried to enter our Cda Converter to unlock it, it refused it. We accidentally discovered that double-clicking on the screen unlocked it, which wasn't exactly great security. We also didn't like that the program didn't offer the option of masking our Cda Converter entries.
